Sloooooow boat down the Mekong

The 3 BIG questions that man has grappled with through the millennia:

1 - Why are we here?
2 - How did we get here?
3 - Where are we going?

The Buddhism isn't rubbing off on me (I dont look good in orange), so I'll stick to the half baked travel blogism

1 - We are in Laos, because in the words of Billy, we want to, because we want to.

2 - We got here by spending 2 days crammed in a slow boat (registration no. 666 - a lucky number here apparently...) with only a 60baht pillow for comfort, chugging and sputtering down the poo brown Mekong River past tiny little villages in the middle of the jungle, alongside a bunch of backtwatters making you ashamed to be western, some new found friends and a lot of confused Laos people.

3 - Nowhere that Slimey Mr 'Laos is my country, you are my guest' advises us to go
Now here's some photos
